Article Club: Non-traditional information professionals – January 23, 2014

SLA Toronto and OLA-SLC are pleased to invite you to participate in the January edition of Article Club!  Whether you’re a newly-minted library professional, or considering a change in direction in life or career, you’ve probably considered the possibility of using your “library” skill set in environments that are not libraries. Join a discussion on who might be your next employer, which skills are valued “out there”, and what the job title might look like, led by a special librarian who has worked for an information broker, a database vendor, the government, herself and (once or twice) in a “real” library.

Come join your fellow information professionals for lively discussion and a drink at the Library room at Scotland Yard!  Cost is only your own food and beverages.  Everyone is welcome.

Find the articles on SLA Toronto Chapter’s website.  RSVP by January 21, 2014 to Maggie Weaver at Maggie.at.Shaftesbury @ gmail.com.
